Leni Ward\'s debut album was a record waiting to happen. From the opening track, \"Everything Tonight\", which \"fell into my head one day, and out of my guitar\", to the stark closing ballad, \"Mommy\", written just three days before recording began, it was all simply inevitable. \"I\'d lie awake in the early hours of the morning with riffs and melodies running around in my cranium, willfully destroying things to get attention. They\'re bratty little children, deep down. When I really didn\'t want to get up again, I\'d just sing into the voice recorder on my mobile and then transpose it in the morning. This album constitutes a lot of lost sleep.\" Recorded at the legendary Battery Studios in London, the self-titled cd is organic, honest and the start of many things to come.
