Mason Williams was so please with the way Zoe handled his music on the Gypsy Noodle album they decided to produc e a collaboration album of Mason Williams and Zoe McCulloch. Finding a title was not easy but when Zoe sent over a 2005 version of Classical Gas which was a slight re-mix on the 2004 version, mason's office came up with the title 'Electrical Gas' as this was basically Classical Gas played on the Electric Guitar. We did think of calling it Electric Gas but it did not have the same ring to it. The first 8 tracks were recorded in the UK and include the 5 tracks from Gypsy Noodle. The album has been designed to inspire the imagination. The Last Crusade was based on Richard the Lion Hearts crusades in the Middle East when he took on the Saracens. You can in the music get the feeling of the King riding out with his knights then confronting the Saracens as the music mood changes. Eddie I'm Ready was written by Mason for the birthday of his life long friend pop artist Eddie Ruscha. It is based on a song that could have been playing when they were in their teens at an end of school Prom. Mason had hoped Zoe would sing it but she simply can't sing so she did a great instrumental of it and then Mason added a vocal version at the end. This album has been put forward for consideration by The Recording Academy for Grammy consideration 2005. Zoe is just 19 years old and has already a fan base all over the world. If you love guitar music this series of albums should be in you collection.
